They are different. The website never sees your government password — you type it directly on the government portal page.

Step by step / படிப்படியாக
Self-service on the website (VPTax & OnlinePPA). / இணையதளத்தில் நீங்களே.
Open the tool
Go to vptax.panchayatreports.in (tax) or ppa.panchayatreports.in (fees) in Chrome.
Chrome-ல் கருவியின் முகவரிக்குச் செல்லுங்கள்.
Website login
Click Login → enter mobile + email → Send OTP → enter the 6-digit Gmail code.
Login → கைபேசி + மின்னஞ்சல் → OTP-ஐ உள்ளிடவும்.
Select Panchayat
Choose District → Block → Panchayat from the three dropdowns.
மாவட்டம் → வட்டம் → ஊராட்சி தேர்ந்தெடுக்கவும்.
Date range
Set From date and To date (e.g. 01-04-2025 to 30-04-2025).
தேதி வரம்பை அமைக்கவும்.
Start
Click Start / Download. A loading screen appears.

Government login
On the portal page: username + password + captcha + mobile OTP.
அரசு போர்ட்டல்: பயனர்பெயர் + கடவுச்சொல் + captcha + OTP.

Troubleshooting / சிக்கல் தீர்வு
- OTP not received: check Gmail spam, confirm the number, wait 2-3 min, retry. / Gmail spam பார்க்கவும்.
- Portal login fails: captcha is case-sensitive; recheck username/password; clear cache. / captcha பெரிய/சிறிய எழுத்து முக்கியம்.
- Payment issue: verify UPI/QR before paying; screenshot the confirmation; keep the transaction ID.
- Download fails: use Chrome; check internet & storage; disable popup blockers.
- File format: use .xlsx/.csv; remove password protection; simple file names.
